As I count down the days to my 24th birthday, I feel a sense of dissentment. I'm definitely not getting younger and i'm not really utilising the 'youth' i have left. When i started thinking about it, i've only been to taiwan and thailand(army) and that sucks. So i'm just wondering if anyone is keen to go on a trip this coming june holidays? can go like bangkok? then maybe pattaya for some snorkelling? And anyone interested in learning scuba diving? Yusoff already got basic, we shouldnt be lacking. Imagine the whole clique out in the deep dancing with sharks albeit small ones, or enjoying the clear waters of the reefs, suntanning at a beach other than sentosa. Can't imagine that when we are 30 plus though so we should do it while we can. Maybe bunjee jump? climbing everest? ok maybe thats a extreme but not impossible while we are at the peak of our health. We can always start small. Backpacking maybe? somewhere near, somewhere safe, somewhere we can experience life that isnt like our own.
Anyway i'm just trying to promote the fact that we shouldnt be statisfied with the mundane life of work sleep eat. Pls anyone interested? or suggestions for something? I'm really keen on the learning diving part though. One thing i wanna do while i still live. Appreciate it if anyone have any details about that. Holidays coming, how many holidays are left before we are too immensed in work for a breather?

Realistically speaking, i suggest australia coz jack is there to provide the accommodation..where else to learn diving other than the Great Barrier Reef..
Alternatively, Nepal. Other than the air fare, everything else is super cheap..dun have to climb everest la.. probably a 5 day trek like wat i did with my school..
all other places is either unrealistic or too near..
my 2 cents...
i seriously wanted to go tibet until recently..

But will u all be keen on learning? then everyone can go together steadip
Teh
Learning to dive in AUstralia? wah.. it's possible but expensive. Plus, diving requires some skill and better to learn in a relatively safe environment with not much super big fish around to distract you or scare you. But if u are unfazed by them, sure can.. haha. and yeah Great Barrier Reef dying. Must see now. A few more years and the corals along with the biodiversity will be dead.
As of travelling, dunno if you guys are into adventure stuff. I'm planning a trip to climb Mt. Kinabalu soon. One of my NS fren keep bugging me bout that and might as well make it soon. Anybody onz?
Another cheap adventure. Get a good bike, and ride all the way to Thailand. Camp out in the wilderness and eat cheap local fare. That's my aim after I finish my 2 year bond with MOE. Get my 2A licence, buy a bigger bike and travel. Like Teh said, life is short and the mundane working life makes me feel like a monkey stuck in a cage man..
